The Grange model being installed

The bronze model of the Grange, or former Market Hall, and its base with the surrounding streets, is shown being lowered onto the plinth by a small crane.

The Grange model being installed

The bronze model of the Grange at Leominster was installed on February 23rd and will be launched by the Mayor on March 1st. A crane was needed to place the model on the plinth as it is so heavy. Once that was checked and the holes drilled in the plinth, silicon was squirted in to bond the pegs on the model into the base. This should ensure that it is as securely fixed as possible.

The model has been placed where the Market Hall was orginally before it was moved in the last 19th century.

More pictures will be put on this site when the launch has taken place.
